Pousada Convento da Graça (Town - Tavira)
This Pousada is the newest one to be opened in
the Algarve and an ideal place to stay to explore on foot the
historic town of Tavira. The Pousada Convento da Graça is a
16th century Convent built for the Augustans nuns. Located
close to where the castle use to stand it was built in the old
Jewish quarter of the town. Carefully restored, it captures the
peace and charm of the original convent which is particularly
noticeable in area created by the cloisters.
There are
thirty six rooms of which 7 are Doubles and 24 Twins. The
remaining 5 are Suites, one of which has its own terrace and
small garden, and another one is equipped for the benefit of
disabled guests. It has a restaurant and bar, a games room; a
swimming pool for adults and one for small children, and a
parking area for the convenience of the guests. The rooms are
all air-conditioned; "en-suite" bathrooms; equipped
with cable TV; Internet connection; telephone; mini-bar and
hair dryer. The reception is ready to give guest a warm
welcome 24 hours a day and the Faro Airport is approximately
35 kilometres from the Pousada.
YEAR 2007/8
The normal Rates per night for a Pousada range from
€ 84.00 until € 169.00, depending on the season, the
day of the week, the length of stay, and the chosen
Pousada. However, we also have many special promotions
and discounts to offer the visitor which can lower the
cost per night per room. (Staying over Saturday night
in a Pousada will normally incur a much higher room rate).
Some examples of our various promotions are listed below:
a) - A stay per night from Sunday until Friday enjoys a lesser
room rate.
b) - A stay of several nights in Pousadas will also enjoy a
lesser room rate.
c) - Honeymoon couples staying two nights in the same Pousada
enjoy a special rate.
d) - Visitors over 55 years of age enjoy a reduction of 30% on
the Sunday to Friday room rate.
e) - Visitors staying 4 nights in certain Pousadas can enjoy a
package price including a hire car.
f) - Visitors staying 7 nights pay only 5 nights; staying 6
nights pay only 4 nights; staying 3 nights pay only 2 nights.
g) - Visitors staying 4 nights also have a choice of packages,
one including a hire car and one night in the 5 Star Pestana
Palace in Lisbon.
