What are the two major problems for the visitor?
- Restaurants that advertise - which is no guarantee and often prove to be tourist traps
- Restaurants recommended by receptions, taxis and bars – these recommendations are normally connected to a hidden financial reward

e have created two geographical lists that are based on nearly 40 years of personal eating out in the Algarve. Each list has been reduced from hundreds of restaurants known to us by either our personal experience or by trusted numerous recommendations of third parties. The lists are very cosmopolitan in selection – different types of cuisine and different levels of cost. We believe that visitors will not fail to find several new locations on each of our lists suitable to their “taste” and their wallet.
his service was created as an extra benefit to our visitors that use our sites for their holiday needs. We receive no form of reward from the restaurants for our recommendations other than the comments we receive from our visitors that help us keep our lists up-to-date. Instead, we ask our visitors to make a small Donation (as visitors think appropriate), to cover our time and cost in keeping these lists active and informative for their use.
e all know every restaurant can be “bad on the day” The quality of every restaurant is subject to many variable factors which can leave the visitor either happy or displeased. We value your objective judgment, so please let us know about your experiences and when justified by our investigation, we will either add a recommended restaurant or delete the one in question from our listings.
