The 4 Star Hotel M'Ar De Ar Muralhas (previously named Hotel
Cartuxa), has 91 comfortable rooms spread over its two floors and
this includes 6 suites. Two rooms are prepared for disabled guests.
All rooms are fully equipped with air-conditioning, direct
telephoning, satellite TV, video channels, Internet connection
(Wi-Fi), Pay TV and a mini-bar. Underground parking is charged and
outdoor parking is available.
It’s "Cerca Nova” Restaurant under the direction of its Chef
António Nobre, provides an appetising "ŕ la carte" menu of
Alentejo typical dishes – these regional cuisine enjoy fame amongst
the Portuguese and the many visitors to Portugal. Sometimes the
restaurant also offers a buffet style lunch. The "Café dos
Mercadores Bar" offers an attractive and comfortable ambience
with an informal terrace for a drink or a light meal overlooking
the small garden and swimming pool area.
This Hotel is an excellent base from which to explore the Alentejo
and visit the many vineyards to taste the different wines in their
“Adegas”. Upon returning from your travels you can either dine in
the “Cerca Nova” or use one of the excellent and famous restaurants
for which Évora is renown - are all within walking distance.
